Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair confronted each other to build hype for next month's bout.
Ex two-time world boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I will injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will really want to injure him. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
Despite those words, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the novice remains one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters engaged in the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
